Today I spent an amazing relaxing day at Little Island Beach in Sandbridge. The weather was absolutely perfect..not too hot and a really nice breeze blowing. I really needed today to help refresh and rejuvenate my body physically. It’s a known and proven fact that stress takes a very physical toll on the body so today was like physical therapy for me!
Not only was the weather perfect, but so was the company. It was a Sonlight ladies beach day but my friend Traci was the only one who showed up. We proved today that 2 people are enough to keep conversation going for hours! We spent about the first 2 1/2 hours non-stop talking, and managed to eat our lunch at the same time! Try to find a man who can do that with you!! For about the next hour we caught up on a little individual reading and the last half hour was spent with her sleeping and me relaxing to great Christian music on my ipod. That’s 4 hours of bliss in my book! To top it all off, whenever I go to the beach, I am just in awe of our great creator, God. The expanse of the ocean is breath-taking and just reminds me how big God really is. I could stand a little of that every week but sadly, with summer winding to a close, today was probably my last visit this year to the beach. God willing, I have many more beach days in my future!
